Strange Life

A few days ago I was engaged in a conversation with a co-worker about why things have become so bad in the United States.

Part of our discussion was focused upon the things that originally made this nation great. After listening to their point of view I gave them my perspective.

God is who made this nation great. Him and people who from the heart served him. Most of those individuals were not people you might read about in a history book. They had no notoriety or fame. They were the common men and women who lived life based upon biblical morals and ethics.

There was a time in this country where greed was not the driving factor in business. When doctors really cared about their patients. When marriage was a sacred union. When honesty, integrity, purity, and modesty were considered normal behavior.

The American people of today could learn a great deal if they only took the time to investigate the beginnings of their country, and the attributes of the individuals who helped shape and form this nation.

Today we have many proposed solutions to our nations problems. Yet, the ultimate solution, the only real solution, is being ignored.

Can we recover from the recent woes that have befallen us? Can we ever become the great nation we once were?

Yes, there is hope !

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. - 2Chronicles 7:14

It starts with us. God's people. We must examine our hearts, turn from all ungodliness, pray, study the Word, seek God, and no longer accept life as usual.
